In Mirth how do I retry destinations and block till response received? -

we have mirth channel (synchronized) going 4 destinations.

the first 3 destinations web service calls (http sender) rest calls basic data.

the 4th channel relies on previous 3 destinations have been completed cleanly. data previous destinations used in 4th destination's transformer , outgoing message modified accordingly.

when channel released, destinations not set "use persistent queues". 1 of web service calls timeout. when happens content of response (paraphrased) "error:http timeout....".

the channel updated use persistent queues. response "message queued".

in either case 4th destination called despite result of previous destinations. , response data mirth error/warning message instead of data http call.

what need mirth queue on destination , not continue until destination has been successful.

is possible?

thank you

for completeness, if looking answer this, mirth 3.x seems able handle case. chronofish received answer on mirth forums. though rather complex solution, full example provided in answer.
