ffmpeg - About objetive metrics: Is the SSIM can be predicted by PSNR ? (PSNR vs SSIM) -


i read people saying if have study involve conclusion regarding psnr must repeat again considering ssim.
since meaning double work, time (and why not money), doing simulations again (that got using psnr) using ssim parameter ?
ssim , psnr independent ?

i have investigated topic , found cited article:

and conclusion is: "as final conclusion, appears values of psnr can predicted ssim , vice-versa."

as article cite others article saying psnr , ssim not independent.
