connection - ssh connects but scp doesn't work -


i using ssh / scp local machine because work on server remotely. working university, connect home via ssh server check , never had problem. today tried home copy file local machine , realized can't. ssh works fine, connected server scp not work.

i don't understand problem might be. if ssh port closed, wouldn't able connect via ssh. scp works fine university.
