android - Obtain location using service(background) and update gui at regular intervals -


i trying run service in background. location obtained @ regular interval , activity text views updated whether app in e background or foreground. pointers or tutorials guys aware of the? maybe working examples? searched lot , couldn't find concrete

note: battery consumption not issue app

i did small blog post android location services should help. it's not service based provide live location updates in activity whilst running. once activity paused there little point in service providing updates way , hammer battery @aehs29 mentioned.

How to mention the localhost in android -

i trying call localhost in android application. unfortunately not possible used several methods emulator local host http://10.0.2.2/android/dbconnection.php and network ip address http://192.168.1.xx/android/dbconnection.php also http://localhost:8080/android/dbconnection.php but nothing connected localhost. purpose refer stackoverflow answers not working i facing same problem when worked on localhost. referred stackoverflow answer got solution create new emulator works fine in new emulator.
